Easy Asian Marinated Flank Steak Served 3 Ways

Bulk cooking flank steak is a great way to meal prep for the week and it’s versatile enough to be repurposed into a bunch of different dishes so you don’t get bored. Follow this recipe and you can enjoy asian flank steak in three different ways.

Easy Asian Marinated Flank Steak

  • 2 pounds flank steak
  • ½ cup thinly sliced green onions scallions
  • cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 3 teaspoons rice wine vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice juice of 1 lime


  1. Marinate: add and shake up all ingredients (except for the steak) in a zip lock bag. Add steak to bag and ensure it’s thoroughly coated.
  2. Grill instructions:
  3. Preheat grill.
  4. Grill: the steak for about 5-8 minutes per side or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing.
  5. Oven instructions:
  6. Preheat oven: Set to broil (or 500°F). Move the rack to be a few inches below the broiler.
  7. Cook for 2 to 4 minutes, flip steak over and broil for another 2 to 4 minutes (or until it reaches your desired level of doneness). Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing.

Throw some asparagus on the baking sheet with the flank steak and have a one pan dinner!

Asian Steak Salad

Add leftover steak to a salad with cabbage, romaine lettuce, cashews, bell peppers, green onions, carrots, and a nice asian salad dressing (like sesame ginger, thai peanut or asian vinaigrette).
