We do not intentionally gather Personal Data from visitors who are under the age of 13. You may not access or use the Site or Services if you are not at least 13 years old.

We collect “Non-Personal Information” and “Personal Information.” Non-Personal Information includes information that cannot be used to personally identify you, such as anonymous usage data, general demographic information we may collect, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, preferences you submit and preferences that are generated based on the data you submit and number of clicks. Personal Information includes information that you voluntarily share with us on the website.

Types of Email Communications
When you signup for the Meal Plan Ninja service, you are opting in to receive basic communications from us on a periodic basis. Examples of the types of emails you may receive are reminders, information about your meal planning habits, billing and/or subscription updates, and email designed to gather your feedback on our service.
You may also have opted-in to receiving newsletters from us.
Our newsletters and distribution lists are hosted using a Third Party Service Provider. Take a look at Section 6 below, if you wish to find out which companies and which third parties we use across our Services.
These newsletters allow us to send emails to thousands of subscribers and have access to certain statistics such as how many people are opening our emails and what people are mostly clicking on. They allow us to improve the kind of content we are emailing and help us keep in touch with our users about updates to Meal Plan Ninja or new releases.
Unsubscribing from Email Communications
You can quickly and easily unsubscribe to any email at any time, using the unsubscribe links included inside the email. You always have the choice of whether you’d like to unsubscribe from some, or all email communication from us. In the case that you wish to subscribe from all email communications, understand that you may still receive transactional emails from us that update you on the status of your subscription or billing details. Upon unsubscribing from any type of email, you will immediately stop receiving those types of emails from us.
If you wish, you can request that we delete your information from our database by emailing [email protected]. We will fulfill this request within 30 days.
Personally Identifiable Information
Third Party Email Providers can store some personally identifiable information, although we try to keep this to a minimum by only asking for your first name and email address. To ensure your safety, we will always ask for you to opt-in to any newsletter communication that you wish to receive.
Upon signing up, we may also ask that you double-opt in to receive communications from us. So that when you first enter your name and email, we’ll send you a message to double-check that you wish to subscribe. This email contains a confirmation link you’ll need to click before we start sending you any emails.
We dislike spam as much as you do and we will never sell-on or share your email address to an advertiser or third party.

You may need to write to us to obtain customer support or to suggest an improvement to our service when utilizing Meal Plan Ninja.
We make every effort to respond to each email or support request in a timely and complete manner. To ensure the continued improvement of our Service, we may retain the email correspondence together with the information you provide us, to help with the nature of your enquiry, future enquiries and bug fixes.
We may also collect certain technical information about your device or cross-reference the basic account information you provided, if appropriate, so that this data is accessible when corresponding with our support team.

We do not collect your credit card details or any other payment information, when signing up for or purchasing subscriptions for Services on our Site.
When you order Services on our Site, we will collect all information necessary to complete the transaction, including your name, credit card information, and billing information – but this data is stored and processed by our payment processing and subscription billing provider, Stripe.
4. Additional Information We Receive About You
4.1 Information Collected Via Technology
To make our Site and Services more useful to you, we may also obtain information about you from other sources or technology providers. These sources are detailed below:
Meal Plan Ninja uses analytical data to see how people are interacting with our Site and Services. For example, we can see that a certain recipe is really popular, or that another is rarely viewed. We utilise Third Party Service Providers with this capability to allow us to improve the kind of content and functionality we provide.
We also use analytics to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. We serve advertising promoting our apps on third party platforms. The analytics shows us when an advert has been successful in leading to a signup or new subscription on our Site or Service.
You can review our list of Third Party Service Providers, in section 9.
4.3 Log Data
Each time you visit our Site or use one of our Apps we may automatically collect the following information:
- Technical information, including the type of mobile device you use, a unique device identifier mobile network information, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile browser you use or time zone setting;
- Log file information such as details of your use or our Service or your visits to our Site, including, but not limited to, traffic data, internet protocol (IP) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks to analyse trends, administer the site, track user’s movement around the site, and gather demographic information.
- Mobile Device Information: We collect information about the mobile device you use to access or use our Service or Site, including the hardware model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, mobile network information and information about your use of our mobile responsive Service.
Cookies, which can be small text files sent by your computer each time you visit our website, or similar technologies to capture log data.
We use tracking pixels (i.e. Google Analytics) to aid in measuring and tracking where our website traffic is coming from and to track the performance of our site. We have enabled data sharing to help improve Google’s products and services. The data sharing setting will also apply to authenticated visitation data collected by Google signals which is associated with Google user accounts.
We may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on our Site. Persistent Cookies can be removed by following Internet browser help file directions.

5. Meal Plan Ninja Direct User Support
5.1 Direct User Support (User Impersonation)
In some cases, you may request support or help that requires us to understand your account preferences, settings or other inputs like your meal plan configuration in greater detail. In such cases an administrator or member of our support team may to log in to your account to help you to troubleshoot your specific issue.
In the world of software development this is termed “User Impersonation” – and it allows us to help you in very specific moments where traditional email communications will impede or slow down the assistance we provide to you.
In these circumstances, our team retains the ability to modify certain settings within your account (such as your meal plan configuration or basic account preferences) in order to assist you with your support issue. This ability exists solely for the purpose of assisting you with issues you may experience with your Meal Plan Ninja account.
Throughout this process, your password and other login credentials will remain private and secure. We can only access your account via a secure authorized and encrypted token, which grants our team temporary access to troubleshoot your account. After an administrator or support user logs out of your account, the security token expires and cannot be utilized again. At no point in time will any member of our team be able to access your account password.
5.2 Information we do NOT access during User Impersonation
When an administrator or member of our support team accesses your account they will NOT be able to access or change any personally identifiable information (your first or last name). This information is managed securely in our database and cannot be managed by anyone except you or by a Meal Plan Ninja administrator.
In addition, we can NOT access any information regarding your billing details including your credit card information, billing address or any other information regarding the subscription status of your account. As mentioned previously, all billing details and information is handled securely via Stripe, a payment processor and subscription billing vendor.
At no point in time will any member of our team be able to access your account password.
5.3 How to request that we do NOT access your account:
At any time, you may request that we do not access your account for a specific, or ALL, support inquiries. This feature exists solely to help us support you during your experience with our Service. If at any point in time you wish to opt-out of this feature, please email [email protected].

If you are using Meal Plan Ninja, you may request to download your personal information at any time by emailing [email protected]. In your request, you may specify the types of information you would like to download or receive including (but not limited to): basic account information, email subscriptions, all personally identifiable information, payment history and meal plan configurations.
Understand that the export of your data may come in various formats (typically .zip or .csv file format) that may require additional processing in a word / excel processor in order to access or understand.
Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove or reject browser cookies. Please note that if you choose to remove or reject cookies, this could affect the availability and functionality of the Meal Plan Ninja Site or Service.
8.4 Email and Newsletter Communications
We will periodically send you free newsletters and e-mails that directly promote the use of our Site or Services. When you receive newsletters or promotional communications from us, you may indicate a preference to stop receiving further communications from us and you will have the opportunity to “opt-out” by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the e-mail you receive or by contacting us directly at [email protected].

8.6 Cancelation and Deletion of Account(s)
When using Meal Plan Ninja, we provide the ability to request to cancel your account inside of the Service. Once you request to cancel any active subscriptions, you will no longer have access to your Meal Plan Ninja account, data or meal plan configuration. You can review your active subscription(s) by visiting the “Billing Details” page in your user profile.
When you request to cancel your account, you may request deletion of your Personal Data by us, but please note that we may be required to keep this information and not delete it (or to keep this information for a certain time, in which case we will comply with your deletion request only after we have fulfilled such requirements). Should you request this, we will remove any record or correspondence that you have had with our support helpdesk third party provider. We will do our utmost to do this within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 30 days.
When we delete any information, it will be deleted from the active database, but may remain in our archives. We may retain your information for fraud or similar purposes.

Google – Analytics and Remarketing
Google provides a variety of services to Meal Plan Ninja, its Site and Service. We use Google Analytics for users that visit the Site and Service to understand where they came from and track important metrics like site visits, time on site, and conversion sources. We have enabled data sharing to help improve Google’s products and services. The data sharing setting will also apply to authenticated visitation data collected by Google signals which is associated with Google user accounts. We use remarketing services from Google to show ads that promote our Service to visitors that have come to our Site. In total, we utilize the following services from Google:

Using cookies, Google creates pseudonym user profiles. The information generated by the cookies for users includes (but is not limited to):

For analytics purposes, this enhances our ability to track how advertising is performing on one platform (ex: Facebook), multiple platforms, or to see how the source of traffic to our site affects the long-term relationship we have with a particular user. For marketing purposes, utilizing Google’s remarketing pixel in conjunction with other services from Google or other 3rd Party Sources enhances our ability to target marketing advertising a very specific audience that may be interested in our products or services, or to retarget advertisements to users who have already visited our Sites or Services.

We use heap to collect and store events that occur in our Service or related websites and apps of Meal Plan Ninja. When a you (a user) take certain actions in our Service (e.g. viewing a recipe or swapping out one recipe for another on your meal plan) Heap will store that data to allow us to better understand how users utilize the Service and how we can improve the Service we provide.
The event data that is collected may be further analyzed to understand how well our Service is performing in aggregate (e.g. what percentage of our users created meal plans this week).
We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize our Site and Service’s experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback.

Facebook & Instagram: Analytics & Advertising
We use Facebook Analytics to record events and understand how users are utilising our apps. We utilize pinterest to advertise to targeted audiences using interest-based advertising or to visitors that have navigated to our Site or Service.
Pinterest uses a tracking pixel that helps our Company measure the success of advertising campaigns which is integrated in our website. This helps us ensure that the Pinterest ads we initiate are displayed to Pinterest users who have shown interest in our Services. In this way we know that our Pinterest ads correspond to the potential interest of the respective users. It also allows us to track the actions of Pinterest users after they have viewed or clicked on one of our Pinterest ads. Information collected in this way is anonymous to us and therefore does not provide us with any information about the identity of the respective user. Such processing for behavioural and interest-based advertising purposes is recognized as in our legitimate interest under Recital 47 of the GDPR. The data is stored in accordance with the legally established retention periods and then automatically deleted. This includes information about your visits to our Site or conversions / subscriptions you make in our Service.

We use PureChat as a convenient tool for real-time communication between our users and our support team (which can also be reached at [email protected]). All chat support requests are consent based, and must be initiated by the User and NOT a Meal Plan Ninja team member, administrator or employee. We encourage our users to chat us whenever they have a question, get stuck, need help or are in need of any other type of support where they desire or require a quick response.
Once a chat is completed, PureChat assists Meal Plan Ninja in keeping records of the conversation by sending a copy of the transcript to both the user, the Meal Plan Ninja support team member and a Meal Plan Ninja administrator. At any time, a user may request that any and/or all previous chat transcripts be deleted from the Company account with PureChat and the Company’s email accounts. A user may also request copies of all chat transcripts.

We use Active Campaign to send out email Content to subscribers of our Service and our newsletter(s). We will not contact you or add you to our email newsletter distribution list without your prior consent.
When providing your email address to us, you will need to click the checkbox next to the email subscription field to be added to our list. After signing up to Meal Plan Ninja, you will be asked to verify that you are the owner of your email address and that you are willing to receive email communications from the Service. This constitutes a double opt-in. If you no longer wish to be subscribed to these email campaigns, we make it very easy to unsubscribe and be permanently removed from our email distribution list.
We use Instapage as our landing page tool to design and host beautiful product- or advertising-specific web pages that help our users better understand our Service and sign up for specific offerings. Instapage may help us collect some personal data such as the collection (e.g. via sign-up forms on certain landing pages) and storage of personal data. When you sign up using a form that is hosted by Instapage, that data is then stored in our Instapage account and then transferred to our email marketing service Active Campaign. In some cases, analytics tools like Google Analtyics or the Facebook pixel may be installed on these landing pages.
At all times, we provide you with the ability to opt-out of any emails that you are sent as a result of signing up for a form on Instapage and your data being transferred to Active Campaign by unsubscribing to any email sent to you. If you would like your data to be removed from any and/or all tools (including Instapage) please contact us via the information provided in section 9 below.
We are constantly improving and developing our website to provide our users with the best possible customer experience. We use Sentry, an error tracking tool from Functional Software Inc., 132 Hawthorne St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (hereinafter “Sentry”) to improve the accessibility and technical stability of our website by monitoring system stability and detecting code errors. We may automatically send the following information to Sentry in the event of a software failure:
- Device information (operating system, browser version, browser type)
- The IP address of the device
- Date and time of error

We implement appropriate measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access.
All personal data sent by you, including your payment information, is also transmitted using the generally accepted and secure SSL (Secure Socket Layer) standard.
